Frosty the earrings!

I have been working on jewellery this week. First, a set of bicone earrings.  A bicone black and red beaded bracelet.  Snowman earrings.i love the minimalist look.  Ive also been working on the stitch. 16.5% done! Until next time Ems

When life gives you lemons...

Made a get well card on request this week. Why it so much harder making a card for guys?! Anyway, saw something online that gave me inspiration.  I would have personally gone for a funnier theme, but I was outvoted.  Here's the update on the stitch. 15% done.  Until next time Ems

Domes

I tried something new this week. First time so not perfect, but quite good. I poured clear resin into moulds and when they were dry, glued a scene on the back with sparkly glue. I then painted resin onto part of the mould to make it clear, painted the other bits black and added wax. Finally, I added magnets on the back.  Where it didn't quite work was the extra coat on the resin, which was a little lumpy in places. Something to work on.  I also made a bracelet.  Ive also been working on the stitch. Finished this colour, so onto another now.  Until next time Ems

Busy bee

Got a few things to put on the blog this week, courtesy of being off work and not well enough to go and do anything. Let's get to it! You might notice i did a couple of other colours on the stitch. I got bored of the same colour so took a break from it for a day. A beaded necklace, using various beads including peanut beads.  A birthday card, using spellbinders dies from the 2024 advent calendar and some paper from my stash.  Same thing, with different dies obviously. I wish I'd found spellbinders earlier. I've got the 2025 calendar to look forward to for Christmas as well.  A card for a man, using papers from my stash and some stamps.  Until next time Ems

Can you h(ear) the drums?

Strange title i know, but apt to me. Im off sick at the moment with a nice middle ear infection and burst eardrum. At least i made things earlier this week. Here is the stitch update.  I made a couple of snowglobes using resin houses and various tim holtz ephemera.  A pair of earrings, using sead beads, larger pearls and bicone beads. I found the tutorial on facebook. A bracelet. Im still not getting the stringing tight enough, but its getting better. Until next time Ems
