If you believe...

Week off this week and, as with most weeks off, I've done surprisingly little. Anyway, onto the makes. This was a calico craft porthole that I decided to use for a man in the moon piece. I started by painting it purple, adding some seaweed to the smaller porthole, and backing with galaxy card. I then added resin moon and stars. I added a paper doll, a fishing rod, and a line that led down to the whale. I finally added a chain and anchor to the moon.  Second make was a birthday card. I wanted to do a socially distance themed one, so cut out the heroes heads twice so that I could make a mask that fit.  Almost finished the main cross stitch part! After that it's a lot of back stitch.  Finally, here are the random pics for this week. Until next time EMS

Down the rabbit hole.

I've made another frame this week, with an.alice in wonderland theme. And yes I know the rabbiy is supposed to be white, but it looked odd that colour. Anyway, the frame was painted white, then I drew black squares and added some texture paste and embossing powder through diamond and heart stencils. I then added resin pieces coloured by wax. The inside has birch trees cut out, then painted resin pieces of alice and the rabbit. I added some foliage and mushrooms, some alice ephemera and finally a quote that, while not from the book, sums up Alice nicely. Here is the cross stitch update.  And here are this weeks random photos.  Until next time Ems

(Waves)

Not done much this week, so this will only be a short post. First, here is the update on the stitch. It's looking good! I also used the latest tonic kit, plus the lantern die from an earlier kit, to make this.  Finally, here are this weeks random photos.  Gonna see a lot of gloves and masks around I reckon.  Dont know why, but I liked the fact you had a worker on each level.  The sky when i got home at 10pm after work.  Until next time,  Ems

Pearls

I haven't been making much this week, but I have made a couple of pieces of jewellery. I'm still trying to use things up, rather than buy new things. The no spending in june actually helped change my mindset a bit. How long that change will last is another matter. Anyway, onto the makes. Here is the progress on the stitch. It's coming together now, but the sky is almost completely blank at the moment.  This is a necklace, using some beads I got from Ebay. I didn't have enough to make a whole necklace, hence the chain.  I tried my hand at knotting, as it helps protect pearls. I kept it simple, adding a charm for a pop of colour.  Until next time Ems
