I've broken my resolution and I don't care!

Craft ban has officially broken! To be honest I lasted longer than I thought I would but a trip to Plymouth put paid to that. Lots of money has been spent this week, a because it's my birthday and b cos I've had an eye test so glasses bought. I've also had a nice meal out with a friend who bought me some nice presents. Among them were some Harry potter charms, so I made some earrings. I tried to find the right beads to match the house colours. I've also made a little progress on the elephant, but it's been slow and is just showing how long this one will take. I'm off for another 3 days after today so hopefully I'll make a few things for next week's blog Ems

Back to normal?

Well not quite, but I am feeling a little better. And I've actually managed to do some crafting this week so that's a plus. As to what was wrong with Me, I have no idea if it's physical or psychological, and neither of them fill me with hope. Anyway, onto the makes. To start with, I've actually finished the poppy stitch! I've gone back to a half finished one now. Not done much on it yet and it will take a long time, but here's the current status. Off stitching, I decided to make a tag today. I started off my embossing foil tape, then die cut a background. I then cut out some of the cityscape die and assembled it. Finally I added a lock and key, a gold cog to resemble the sun, and some blue gems to give a pop of colour. I'm going to try to do a similar one but for country instead. Resolution wise I'm sticking with it. Helps it's my birthday next week so I've managed to get a few things I wanted as presents.  Ems

Short post

Only a short post this week and no new crafting I'm afraid. I've been a bit Ill and am still recovering. I have done some stitching though, so here's the update on that. I do have an idea for a couple of tags but I have just not had the energy this week. Until next time Ems

Spring is here! Well...maybe not

Definitely not when you consider the whole country was blanketed in snow this week. Both of my siblings managed to fall over, as did I. Clumsiness is in the genes I reckon. Anyway, I've made a few things this week. The first is something a friend asked me to make. Those puzzle pieces are great but man did I have a problem cutting them. Until I realised you can slot the dies together and cut them that is. The second piece was spring inspired. I started with a Tim holtz frame, spraying it blue. I then used a stencil on some paper in my stash for the background. I die cut some flowers and coloured them with distress crayons. The letters are coloured with embossing powder. Finally I added some die cut birds, and a snip art feather which was half sprayed and half embossed with white powder Finally the cross stitch update  Until next time  Ems
