I prefer to use epoxy resin, but sometimes uv resin is the way to go. Like this week, when I finally tried the uv bubble technique. For those who don't know, you use soap bubbles on wet uv resin and then use a uv lamp to pop the bubbles and dry the resin, leaving a bubbly impression in the resin. You then use mica powder on it, and back it with black.  I have used this mica powder before, but  not with the black backing. Crafting is not perfect, and mistakes are (regularly) made. It is a learning process. So, in the spirit of learning, here is the mistake I made this week. I wanted to do some dirty pours with the last of my resin. The mistake? Using a mixture of tints and mica powders. cos mica powders are heavier, so they sank through the tints in the mould.  As you can see, the gold has overpowered everything. They still look good, just not the image I had in mind.  Here is the update on the stitch Until next time Ems

I made another card this week, trying to use some of the things i have rarely used, if ever.  This was made with the inner part of a tonic studio die (the rest is huge so god knows what I would use it for) some paper i had in my stash, tattered floral die and some wooden birds to finish it off.  Here is the update on the stitch.  Still a fair way to go, probably around 40 days at my current speed.  Until next time Ems
