I'm ba-ack!

Sorry for the radio silence for the least couple of weeks. First Sunday was because I was on holiday in Hunstanton- lovely holiday but no internet whatsoever and barely any mobile signal either. It's probably something I would have liked if I had known about it in advance. Good thing I hadn't planned to do a post! As I said though, lovely holiday, and I'm proud to be 'uncle Emma' after spending time with my second cousins Ben and William. Watching a two year old chase a duck with a nappy because it pooed on the steps of a caravan is something that will stay in my memory forever. Last Sunday I was back, but we only got back late Saturday night so no time to even look at anything crafty, let alone do anything. I've made up for it this week, with progress on my stitching as well as a card and some jewellery. So, onto the makes! Firstly a card for my uncle, to thank him for inviting us on holiday. The dies were from a magazine, coloured either with distress

Birds of a feather and other fluffy things

This week i have been a bit productive for once, probably as i won't be blogging next week, and possibly not the week afterwards either. I've been playing with one of those photo editing apps as well, so the pics might be a little different! First of all, I have made a mixed media piece, using a Tando Creative arch. The mechanical dreams snipart, gears and cabochon came from the craft box and aside from the Tim Holtz bottles, everything else is prima. I started off by gluing the cogs, flowers and tap onto the base, and painting it all black. I glued the bottles on after painting them black, and left the corks out. I then splattered various paints onto it, before adding the snipart and cabochon. I also added some microbeads here and there.  I've also been making some jewellery.  These are dream catcher earrings. The design came from Beads Direct, as did the components. These are pompom earrings. Not something i would buy, but they came in a grab
