The hoop hoop song

Made a few earrings this week, all of the hooped variety.  I've also been stitching, obviously. Here's the latest progress.  Sooooo much left to do! Until next time Ems

Rage against the dying of the light

August has only just ended, yet the daylight hours are rapidly dwindling. Soon, I will yet again get to the stage where the majority of my daylight hours will be spent at work, and I will scurry to and fro in darkness.  Speaking of poor lighting, I apologise for the bad lighting on the pics this week.  Here is the update on the stitch. 27% through now.  I've made a card this week, using mainly tim holtz stuff. The only thing that isn't is the flower die, which came free with a magazine.  I did try the flowers in red and pink at first, but they looked like something else that was decidedly not floral! Until next time Ems

Back to the jewellery

Oh I'm getting fed up of my craft stuff being packed away. I'm surprised I haven't caved and bought other stuff. OK, I did buy a few jewellery making items but they were replacements for things used up. I've made a couple of pairs of earrings this week.  I've also been working on the stitch. Over a quarter down now.  Still haven't got anything concrete aside from the scarabs, but its getting there.  Until next time Ems

Gaze up at the stars

I've actually managed to make my Christmas cards! I used an embossing folder for the background, colouring the embossed parts with paint pens. I then added a hill with trees using a lawn fawn border. Finally, I coloured and die cut stamps from the wish upon a star lawn fawn set.  I've also been working on the stitch.  Until next time Ems

Crystallise

Only a quick one this week. I am in the middle of something, but its not finished. Hopefully next week.  I've made a bracelet, just with simple beading. Sometimes simple is better.  I've also been working on the stitch. Made a small mistake, but I'm hoping I can cover it up cos it'd be a pain in the arse to unpick it.  23% done now.  Until next time Ems

Leaf it alone

I've made a necklace and matching earrings this week, using coin beads and leaf charms.  I've also been working on the stitch. 21.5% done now. Another advantage of the pattern keeper is its relatively easy to spot if you've made a mistake, which I did this week. Thankfully it was also easily rectified.  You can kinda see things coming together now, but its a long way off. Until next time Ems

1/5 down, 4/5 to go...

Have I said how much I love the pattern keeper app? For someone who likes to track my progress with things, this is perfect. I'm now 20% through on my stitch!  I've also made a pair of earrings, using unusual clasps.  Until next time Ems
