And a happy new year?

Who knows what next year will bring us? This time last year, most people were trying to decide what their new years resolutions would be, which normally is weight loss. I had 20 last year, but you can probably guess I didn't keep them all. I kept a fair few, which given the year we've had, was pretty good. Next year I'm going simpler and lower key.  Seeing as how its been christmas this past week, I've not really had time to do much crafting. I did do a little, making this necklace. As you can see, I had to add an extender chain because I did not think about the length! I've also been working on the stitch. Here is the update.  You can probably guess who it is now.  Until next time  Ems

Stardust

I've not been doing much crafting lately, due to a combination of work and just feeling low, which I'm sure a lot of people are feeling at the moment. I've got projects unfinished, and feel overwhelmed when I look at them. Small steps though, which I have been making. Here is the update on the stitch.  I also tried my hand at a pair of star earrings using duo beads. Not perfect, but good for a first try.  As you can see, there is a thread in the wrong place, but its not too noticeable when you are wearing them. What you can't see is the beautiful blue these beads are.  Here are the random pics, including some from back in February when I went to cutter and squidge for afternoon tea.  Until next time Ems

To the beat of a drum

My creative side is still at a low ebb at the moment, but I managed to make a few things. To start with, here is the update on my current stitch.  I've also made a birthday card. It is a lot harder making cards for males, but I decided to dig out one of the many many dies I have got in mystery boxes and haven't used yet.  Simple, but I think it works.  I also made a simple keyring, because one of the recipients of the gift boxes I am doing can't have earrings.  Finally, here are the random pictures for this week. There was a huge rainbow over town the other day, so big I couldn't get it in one shot. Lovely way to walk to work. Theres also a picture of my wrist after an incident with a boiling cup of tea! Until next time Ems

Charming

I've made a couple of charm bracelets this week, one with shells, and the other christmas themed.  I've also been working on my new stitch. Can you guess what it's yet? Here are my random pics of this week.  Until next time  Ems

Gift boxes

Never make gift boxes! I've been so stressed this week making them, cos I kept doing it wrong. Finally did it though. These were made from tonic kit 36.  There are more than the 3, I wouldn't get stressed over 3!  I've also finished the winter village stitch. I lost the sequins that came with it, but luckily had some in my stash.  I'm already working on a new one.  Here are the random pics for this week. I found it quite difficult, as my mental health took a bit of a nose dive so I haven't really been out of the house. Still, gorgeous sunrise as I walked to work this morning.  Until next time Ems

Oh christmas tree

I have not had much chance to do any crafting thus week. Full week at work, plus poor lighting when I get home does not bode well for a crafter. Still, I have worked on my cross stitch.  As you can see, I'm well on my way to finishing it. Just gotta decide which one to start next.  I've also made some earrings, from a kit I got from totally beads. If you buy the 8 pack, it works out as 2.50 per pair, and they are well worth the money.  No random photos this week. I've got this next week off, so hopefully there will be more crafting and more photos!  Until next time Ems
