Repairs required

No, not me, although I do have a habit of injuring myself crafting, the latest being cutting my palm with pinking shears. Even I'm asking how I did that. I was asked to make a get well soon card for someone this week. For a female it's easier; flowers, hearts etc. A male card is always harder I find. I decided to use my lawn fawn stamps, and some tim holtz dies and distress oxides. I tried to use blending brushes for the first time with the background. It's tempting to go grungy with masculine cards, but you want to go brighter with a get well soon card.  I also made a simple bracelet, using beads in my stash. I really like the heart in the donut bead.  And as always, here is the latest update on the stitch.  Still a ways to go yet! Until next time Ems

Flights of fancy

This week I decided to make a tag, using  this one  I had seen on Instagram as inspiration. So, here is my version. With these, I used lindys sprays for the background, then gold embossing powder with some stamps for the background, and black distress embossing powder for the squares. Both had white circles added, and distress crayons around the edge. I assembled it with the phrase, paper dolls and wings, then finally added the gold dots.  I've also been working on the stitch. 6 pages down, 10 to go. Another reminder that I don't need to buy anything! Until next time Ems

Jewellery everywhere!

Made a lot of jewellery this week again. I promise I'll make other stuff as well! All of them were made with the new stash of beads combined with things I already had in my stash. One good thing about new stuff is that it kick-starts the inspiration a little! I've also been working on the stitch. The days are drawing in now, which means less stitching time or worse eyesight.   Until next time Ems

Busy week

Amazingly I've been quite productive. It helps that someone gave me about a million beads. Thanks Emma! So onto the makes. First, here's the jewellery I made this week.  Be prepared for a lot more jewellery posts in future.  This isn't just a jewellery week. I also made a card for a colleague, using lawn fawn stamps and papers.  This is our set up at work, down to the blue chair and double monitor set up! I've also been working on the stitch. Here is the update.  Until next time Ems
