Jewellery

Why is it when I've got so much stuff, I'm at a loss of what to do with it? Its frustrating, to say the least. I have made some stuff this week.  These are resin pieces, with lamp work beads.  I had some beads leftover from the wire wrapped earrings I made last year, so decided to use them with multi charm connectors. I did want to make earrings, but didn't have enough beads so necklaces it was! I've also been working on the stitch. Here's the update. At least there's some colour appearing on this page now.  Until next time Ems

Masculine cards

I've said it before and I'll say it again, making cards for guys is hard! Still, my uncles 70th is coming up, so I gave it a go! This card is using stamps from my stash.  I've also made some jewellery, including an adjustable ring.  I've also been working on the stitch.  Can't wait till this is done! Until next time Ems

Black friday

Managed to grab some bargains in black friday this year. As well as a cricut joy starter pack, I also bought a spectrum noir black friday set from crafters companion. Here's what it came with.  Good haul and weirdly I was only talking about the outline pens the other day. Only issue is the bag was torn when I got it, and there's a brayer missing according to the list. I've also been working on the stitch. 2 pages left! I've also made a card, which was a last minute request. I was asked to do a sea theme, so I got lawn fawn mermaid for you stamps, cloud die and Oliver number die, a visible image stencil, and another stamp set I had in my stash. Not bad considering it was on the fly. Actually stimulated my creative juices a bit.  Until next time Ems

Mix and match

I've made a couple of cards this week. The first was with a stamp set I got free from a magazine eons ago.  The second was a mix of lawn fawn stamps and tim holtz dies.  I've also been working on the stitch. Almost finished page 6.  Until next time Ems

Glitter!!!

I've gone overboard with glitter this week. I wanted to try some resin moulds I've not used before, and I just decided to throw the glitter in! Here are the results.  I've also been working on the stitch. Here's the update. Until next time Ems

It was a graveyard smash....

I've had the time holtz costume party colorize die for a while, but I didn't want to just use them for a card. So, I grabbed a vignette box with three sections, and decided that each monster had a room. Top is frankenstein, which has a brickwork background, bottles filled with coloured resin to make potions, a dome filled with skulls, and some resin chains coloured with wax. The middle is dracula, which has a stencilled moon, snipart woods, grit paste ground, plus a grave and skull. Finally bottom is mummy, which has gritted and sprayed background, mummy cloth, a cat skull coloured gold, and a skull in a clear resin pyramid.  I've also been working on the stitch. Back ache means its been slow.  Until next time Ems

500th post

Wow, who knew I would get to 500 posts? Not me that's for sure. Anyway, onto the makes. I've been working on resin coasters this week, using opaque pigments, mica flakes and other 3d items.  I've also been working on the stitch. Until next time Ems

Bailing out

Few things made this week using decorative bails. I've had these stones in my stash for so long, and couldn't figure out how to get a jump ring through them.  I've also been working on the stitch. Here's the latest update.  Until next time Ems
