It all started with a mouse

Spellbinders have done an awesome die set, say cheese, which features mickey and Minnie mouse. Of course, I had to get it, so this week I've made an anniversary card.  The background is lawn fawn, and the sentiment die is tim holtz. The dies were coloured with distress oxide.  Here's the update on the mummy stitch. I've not worked on the other one this week.  Here is a random bag.  It's not actually random, this is my progress on this year's Christmas cards. All will be revealed....when I get round to making them Until next time Ems

Bracelet

I have had these rivoli beads in my stash for ages with no idea what to do with them, but this week I decided to break them out and make a bracelet. As well as the rivoli beads, I used some bicone beads from my totally beads christmas stash.  Here's the stitches progress. Almost 87% done on this one now.  Small progress on this one, but progress all the same. Each stitch is a stitch closer to completion.  I am worried about running out of thread on this one though.  Until next time Ems

Lesson learned

Well lowest viewings ever on my post last week, probably because it was just white stitching! This week, I'm starting off by putting on the jewellery I've worked on this week. I've done another tutorial from totally beads, a ginkgo necklace. I didn't do the whole thing cos I preferred a simpler one, and I had to substitute the beads provided with silver ones I had in my stash cos I lost mine.  Here's the update on the two stitches.  I've also made a pair of earrings.  Until next time Ems

So....much....white

I have got over 23000 stitches left to do on the mummy stitch. All around the edges, and all white. That is going to be a very boring update each time, let alone boring to stitch, so I've started a smaller one as well so I don't get bored out of my mind.  This is the new one. Very slow going, as this will only be done if I have time from my daily white stitching.  This is the stitch so far. Admittedly I could have just finished it without the white, but I've started it so I'll finish. I will be starting the labyrinth stitch as soon as I'm done.  I've made a birthday card this week, using clear plastic as the card base, a photo of the recipient (which I've hidden on here) and lawn fawn kangaroo stamps. I also used lawn fawn stitched rectangles, and a tim holtz celebrate die.  Until next time Ems
