The same issues as always...

Said issues being buying more craft stuff before using what I've got! I bought two lots of jewellery making supplies this week, but I don't regret it. I've already made four necklaces.

Sorry about the poor lighting, but it's always dark at the moment! My favourite is the mask necklace. The beads were actually silver, but I've added vintaj patina for more of a harlequin vibe.

I've also finished the cross stitch!

It could have done without the satin stitch in my opinion. Now that it's finished, I've dug out an old one I started ages ago. Christmas village. Here's the progress so far.

I've taken five photos this week, leaving me four more to take before the end of January. Harder than it looks.

Look, sun! It's gone now but we've had some lovely weather so far this year.

Frost so we've had some pretty cold ones too!

I love flowers, they're the start of a new spring.

This is my journal. It's just for writing. I've got a bullet journal somewhere, but I've not got round to using it yet.
Until next time

Milestone birthday

Not mine, but an uncle, who turned 60 this week. I made a card using some tim holtz dies. I quite like the colours I used for the skull, gives him an aged quality.  I've also been working on the stitch. Here's the latest update  Still looks a bit of a mess at the bottom with no discernible images, but it'd getting closer to what it should be with every stitch.  Until next time Ems

What to do when you hit a wall?

Sorry guys, this is gonna be another pic-lite one. This is for two reasons. The first is because I decided to be a complete idiot the other day and crack my head open on the door at work, so I have to take things easy for a couple of days. The second is strange. I woke up the other day and it was as if someone had flipped a switch. All of the self-confidence that I had built up through my crafting over the last year has disappeared - just like that. I've spent the large majority of my life thinking that I am not good enough; in what I do, what I say, in short, in who I am. With crafts I was finally starting to believe in myself. So it is very hard at the moment, as I feel that I am right back at square one. I am hoping that this is temporary, and that I will soon feel myself again. I have to remind myself that I am very early in my crafting journey, and there are bound to be bumps along the way. I am aware that it is probably linked to my current state of high anxiety, as susta...

Drawering a crowd

So, this week I've done something a little different. This is before... This is after.... Obviously there's two of them! These are my mums bedside drawers, which are over 30 years old and now have a new lease of life.  I've also been working on the stitch. 31% down now. Until next time Ems
