Its beginning to look a lot like christmas

This week I've finally finished a project. Now, if you've read any of my posts in the past, you're aware that I like making things. I would love nothing more than to gift the things I make, but there's always that thought in the back of my mind that what I make is not good enough, and won't be appreciated. Some don't realise the hours it takes to make a card, let alone something bigger. Still, at Christmas, I do make things for people, as I find it gets me into the spirit of the season. Before I go onto my makes, here's the update on the latest stitch.

Another page down! Seven to go now.

Onto the Christmas makes!

These have been made with tonic studios sleigh die, black card, tonic specialty card, galaxy card and wax.

These are wire wrapped earrings which I made from a totally beads kit

So the earrings are in the red pouch, and I've also included some Christmas themed chocolates, maltesers hot chocolate sachets and mini marshmallows.

And here's all of them ready to go! 20 in all

Until next times

What to do when you hit a wall?

Sorry guys, this is gonna be another pic-lite one. This is for two reasons. The first is because I decided to be a complete idiot the other day and crack my head open on the door at work, so I have to take things easy for a couple of days. The second is strange. I woke up the other day and it was as if someone had flipped a switch. All of the self-confidence that I had built up through my crafting over the last year has disappeared - just like that. I've spent the large majority of my life thinking that I am not good enough; in what I do, what I say, in short, in who I am. With crafts I was finally starting to believe in myself. So it is very hard at the moment, as I feel that I am right back at square one. I am hoping that this is temporary, and that I will soon feel myself again. I have to remind myself that I am very early in my crafting journey, and there are bound to be bumps along the way. I am aware that it is probably linked to my current state of high anxiety, as susta...

Milestone birthday

Not mine, but an uncle, who turned 60 this week. I made a card using some tim holtz dies. I quite like the colours I used for the skull, gives him an aged quality.  I've also been working on the stitch. Here's the latest update  Still looks a bit of a mess at the bottom with no discernible images, but it'd getting closer to what it should be with every stitch.  Until next time Ems

Drawering a crowd

So, this week I've done something a little different. This is before... This is after.... Obviously there's two of them! These are my mums bedside drawers, which are over 30 years old and now have a new lease of life.  I've also been working on the stitch. 31% down now. Until next time Ems
